Sun Match Company founded by Founder Chairman / Managing Director T.R.R. Rajan commenced its operations on the 12th February, 1984 manufacturing “SOORYA” brand wax coated safety matches. This was the first wax coated match manufactured in Sri Lanka and it was in collaboration with the M/s. Asia Match Co. (Pvt) Ltd., Sivakasi, India
